On a Target run but want to get some cheap wine to go with groceries? Target announced Feb. 21 a new premium wine coming to shelves nationwide March 3.The retailer introduced $5 wines by
California Roots and the Wine Cube and now will stock “perfectly-balanced” California wines, The Collection. The brand boasts the new collection as “premium California wines” at a price of $9.99 per bottle. The line includes five varietals and in addition, the company will launch a seventh varietal of the California Roots – a Sauvignon Blanc. Four-pack cans of Wine Cube in Sparkling
White Wine and sparkling Rosé will be available for purchase. Target will also stock “full-flavored 80-calorie spiked and sparkling beverages made with organic alcohol, Crook & Marker,” which comes in eight varieties March 3.
The Collection includes Cabernet Sauvignon, Red Wine Blend, Rosé, Pinot Grigio and Chardonnay. The Collection is sourced from Delicato Family Vineyards, a family-owned winery around since 1935.
According to Vinepair, the retailer plans to start selling alcoholic beverages at 90 percent of its stores by the end of 2019.
