With reports about Facebook security issues being released more and more often, including the most recent Facebook user data breach, it’s important to ensure that your account is secure.
It’s recommended that passwords on all major social media platforms and email accounts be updated every 90 days. This will ensure that, if your password information is out there in the hands of those with less-than-good intentions, the life of your current password is limited in value to nefarious characters.
Here’s how to reset you Facebook password:
- Log in to Facebook
- Click on the down arrow at the top right
- Click on ‘Settings’
- In the left column, click on ‘Security and Login’
- Scroll down to the ‘Login’ section and select ‘Change Password’
- You can also try clicking on this link which should take you to the last step.
